Dr. Robert McDowell
Dr. Robert W. McDowell, “Dr. Rob” to the kids, received his doctorate degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in May 1999. June of 1999 he joined Dr. Lynn Griffith for 19 months before acquiring the office March 1, 2001. He feels fortunate to be doing dentistry which he passionately enjoys every day.
Raised an Oregonian: Dr. McDowell was born in Portland and raised in La Grande. He enjoys outdoor activities that challenge him, including running, biking, hiking and camping. He also likes to spend as much time as possible with his family. He coaches the kid’s sports and tries his hardest to keep up with them.
Through the years of doing dentistry, he feels fortunate to focus some of his practice in areas that are very meaningful to him. Being able to work on special needs patients that require work done under general anesthesia at Legacy Emanuel Hospital allows him to feel like he is making a difference in their lives. Going to third world countries in Central America to volunteer as a dentist is also a rewarding experience.
